Growing up in one of the most isolated cities in the world, the Mediterranean came to assume the position of a exotic, faraway beacon within my life. It was the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, a place to be explored and savoured once I finally made my escape from Australia. This series documents that process of slow discovery. I recall days filled with a perpetual and chaotic swirl of motion, the laughter of friends old and new and the dawning realisation of the fulfillment of a promise made to myself a long time ago.
